TEHRAN – Iran’s Deputy Minister of Political Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi proposed on Saturday that there is “no military solution” to the current situation in Yemen.
“There is no military solution to the country’s current crisis,” Takt Lavanch wrote to X after a meeting in Tehran with Hans Blandjag, the UN envoy in Yemen.
On March 16, the first US attack on Yemen has been killed and 101 injured, killing at least 53 people and causing 101 to be injured since President Donald Trump took office in January. The new Trump administration has been blaming Yemen since that day.
“We exchanged opinions on the dangerous situation in Yemen. The continued US attack on Yemen must stop the injuries to many civilians, the destruction of martialism and Yemen’s infrastructure,” the Iranian diplomat said.
He added:
The Deputy Minister said “Iran supports such efforts.”
At another meeting with the UN envoy on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut said the US could not assert hopes to restore peace in the region by attacking Yemen.
The US attack on Yemen is another indication that the US is in harmony with Israel in violating the local regulations and spreading instability, Iran’s chief diplomat warned.
