TEHRAN – Ambassador Hassan Mirhadi of the UNESCO Gastronomy and Gastronomy Club said that West Azarbaijan province is home to various ethnic groups, such as Kouds and Turks, creating a beautiful culinary diversity that offers unique tourism potential.
He added that Turks, Kords, Assyrians and Armenians have coexisted in the province for many years and that this is a beautiful picture and an example for the world, according to IRNA.
He further said, “Since there are different ethnic groups in this state, you will see a variety of foods at this exhibition, which has good potential for tourism.”
Mirhadi added: “The moment visitors enter this festival and exhibition, it is as if they have entered a historical journey and a culinary paradise. The aromas of ash du (local soup), kufte (meatballs) and various local foods mix intricately in this space, allowing memories to be revived in this dreamlike journey.”
He added: “We now live in a country with thousands of years of history in the field of food and drink, which is considered an important tourism capability on the international stage.”
The ambassador of the UNESCO Gastronomy and Gastronomy Club expressed his hope that West Azarbaijan will become a model for other states.
