TEHRAN – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bakar Karibakh said cooperation and united action by the Islamic world is the only effective way to counter the reckless actions of the Zionist regime.
His comments sent a message to the chairman of Qatar Shura Council following Israel’s airstrikes by Doha leaders on Tuesday.
Karibah condemned the attack as “a blatant crime, violation of international law, and a clear act of state terrorism,” and emphasized it caused anger and digging among the Iranian people and their representatives of the Islamic Council.
He confirmed that Iran stands firmly against his Qatar and Palestinian brothers, condemning criminal attacks on urban Doha and civilian guests of the Katari government.
On behalf of Iranian parliament, Karibah expressed his sadness to the Palestinians and Qatari citizens martists in the attack, hoping for a quick recovery of the injured.
Calling the incident a clear demonstration of the “natural nature of the inhuman and anti-human rights of the Zionist regime,” he accused Israel of perpetuating regional violence, crisis and instability with Western support.
Karibah reiterated that the Iranian parliament is fully prepared to strengthen cooperation with Qatar in combating Israeli threats to regional peace and security.
In a statement he later made in X, Karibah said that Israel’s Doha attacks showed that Washington’s security guarantees “mean nothing.” Israel’s latest attacks have shaken up political and dominant circles in the Persian Gulf Arab countries, who seem to believe that hosting military bases in the Arab world, particularly the US, and investing large amounts of money in the US economy, will segregate them from Israel’s prevalent violence.
Qatar hosts the largest American base in West Asia. Earlier this year, the kingdom sought to strengthen its ties with Washington by providing record-breaking investments in the US economy during President Donald Trump’s local visit.
The White House said it was unaware that Israel plans to attack Doha, an allegation rejected by analysts around the world. Several unverified reports suggest that American refueling aircraft supported the Israeli Air Force’s refueling efforts on Tuesday.
