President Masoud Pezeshkian says that Iran considers convergence and unity of Muslim countries as a religious and strategic obligation.
Pezeshkian made these remarks in a telephone conversation with Kuwait chief Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jayba al-Saba on Wednesday, expanding Eid al-Ada’s greeting to the government and Kuwait people.
Emphasizing the religious, cultural and historical ties between Muslim countries, Pezeshkian followed the teachings of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and stated that Iran considers all Muslim countries and Muslims to be brothers, and that strengthening the ties and unity within Islamic Umma is both a religious and strategic obligation.
The president also condemned Israel’s ongoing crimes against Gaza, stressing that efforts should be made to stop oppression and ultimately achieve justice for the Palestinian people.
During the conversation, Al-Sabah reciprocated Eid greetings, hoping for peace, health and prosperity in Iran and all Muslim countries.
He reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to deepen relations with Iran and expressed hope that cooperation and coordination between the two countries would lead to a stable, constructive and prosperous future.
