According to sources reported by Al Jazeera, the revised draft resolution calls on all parties to immediately and fully implement the Gaza conflict resolution plan.
The draft resolution welcomed the establishment of the Peace Council and described it as an interim governing body to oversee Gaza’s administration.
He pointed out that the resolution calls for a full resumption of aid to Gaza in coordination with the United Nations.
The draft resolution authorizes the establishment of an international force to stabilize Gaza under unified leadership, which would work with Egypt and Israel to disarm and protect civilians.
Additionally, the draft resolution authorizes the Peace Council to create a temporary executive body to control civilian authority in Gaza.
The draft resolution calls on the World Bank and donors to establish a fund to help rebuild Gaza.
It also states that Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza will be phased in accordance with disarmament criteria and that a temporary security structure will exist near the Gaza Strip until the threat is neutralized.
The draft law allows for the Peace Council to be held in Gaza until the end of 2027, pending other Security Council action.
The draft resolution calls on governments and organizations to provide personnel and funding to the Gaza Peace Council, and provides that the Gaza Peace Council shall govern in accordance with principles of international law.
The draft resolution lays out clearer conditions and order for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
