In an interview on Friday, Araguchi said Oman would decide the time and place of negotiations as a country of mediation, Presstv reported.
He added that Oman asked about Iran’s views on Sunday on resuming talks with the US.
Oman appears to have had discussions with the other side on this point, he added.
Top Iranian negotiators emphasized that Tehran-Washington’s speech is ongoing.
“Of course, the greater the progress, the more consultation and reviews are needed,” he said, adding, “The delegation needs more time to look into the issues raised.”
“But it’s important that we move forward in a way that gradually leads us to detail,” he explained.
The mediation of Oman, Iran and the United States held three consultations in the Oman capital Muscat and the Rome Roman capital of Italy, with the aim of reaching a contract on Iran’s nuclear program and the elimination of sanctions against Tehran.
The parties have so far expressed satisfaction with the way negotiations are underway and praised the consultation as “positive” and “moving forward.”
As Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi quoted, the fourth round of talks was scheduled to take place in Muscat on May 3, but was postponed for “logistical and technical reasons.”
Iran’s foreign minister is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Saturday before talks resume.
Araguchi repeated Iran’s immobilization in moving on the negotiation path despite “contradictory” remarks by US officials.
“Our position in negotiations is fundamentally based on the basis, so they are constant,” said the top Iranian diplomat.
He pointed out that Iran is receiving “contradictory messages” from the other side, as it caused problems because “different individuals express different views.”
“Some people think this will arise because the new US government is not yet fully established or its position has not been properly defined. Others see this issue as a negotiation tactic,” he added.
“We continue our path and have a very transparent position,” Araguchi pointed out.
The Foreign Minister repeatedly kept Iran continuing to secure the interests of the people of Iran, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic will endure firmly whenever that interest is not protected.
