The announcement follows the transport of 119 migrants from various Asian countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Pakistan and China, flying to Panama on military aircraft on Wednesday.
In a statement released Thursday, the Iranian Interest Section expressed its commitment to support these people in cooperation with the Iranian embassy in Colombia, which is also accredited in Panama.
The interest section criticized the US government for these deportations without prior notice to Iran or providing consul arrangements to the lords.
The United States has stepped up its deportation campaign as part of President Donald Trump’s strict immigration policy, which began its second term on January 20th.
Previously, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghhai said Tehran is dedicated to protecting the rights of Iranian people overseas, and the government cannot escape efforts in this regard.
