Kazem Gharibabadi, who has held political talks and is in New York to attend two high-level UN Security Council meetings on Monday, made a statement at a briefing meeting with representatives of more than 110 UN member states, reported TV.
Iranian diplomats detailed the scope of military attacks by the US and Israeli regimes on Iran’s territorial sovereignty and territorial integrity, highlighting the serious implications for international peace and security.
He identified Israel as a major source of uncertainty and instability in the region over the past 80 years, emphasizing that the administration “has expelled over 7 million Palestinians, took hundreds of thousands of people and detained more than one million Palestinians.”
Emphasizing the dangerous nature of Israeli nuclear weapons, he emphasized that the administration “maintains hundreds of nuclear warheads in its stockpiles, not parties to the disarmament or non-proliferation treaty.”
He highlighted Iran’s peaceful nuclear program – constantly being monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) – exposes Israel’s hypocrisy, but lied about Iran’s nuclear bombs that have not existed in the world and in the United States for over 30 years.
“Where is this so-called bomb?” he challenged. “How ridiculous is it to blame a dedicated NPT member state that a government, frightened by aggression, crime and brutality, surrounded by teeth with all the weapons of mass destruction?”
He widely declared global condemnation of US and Israel’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, but criticised three European states, the UK, France, Germany, and international groups for their accomplices.
