On Thursday, the United States, one of five permanent council members with a veto power, blocked the UNSC resolution calling for an immediate, unconditional, permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, showing its sixth veto power since the onset of the Israeli massacre almost two years ago.
“Using veto at the UN Security Council to block the draft UN resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip represents a complete partnership with blatant accomplice in the genocide crime committed by the Zionist occupation of Palestinians,” Hamas said Thursday.
The movement added that the US veto is “a green light for the continued murder, starvation and savage criminal attacks in Gaza city.”
Hamas saw ten countries that submitted drafts, including Algeria, Denmark and Pakistan, and called on these and other countries, as well as international organisations, to pressure the Israeli regime to stop the war of genocide and to hold Israeli leaders accountable for crimes against the Palestinians.
The draft cited the hunger situation and cited the situation of hunger, calling for a ceasefire, unlimited humanitarian assistance, and a recovery of Gaza’s basic services. The text also urged compliance with international humanitarian law and urged the Israeli regime to remove restrictions on aid access.
The Islamic jihadist movement also emphasized that the US veto constitutes “additional evidence that the (Donald) Trump administration is an actual partner and a major instigator for these crimes.”
The movement states that what is happening “represents a ignorance of the local people and regimes, not just international law and humanitarian norms.
The Palestinian Mujahideen movement has denounced the US veto as an open license to continue Israel’s commitment to genocide in Gaza.
Israel launched the war after the Gaza Resistance Fighters launched an Al-Aqsa storm-wondering operation against Zionist groups in response to the regime’s decades-long campaign of blood and devastation against the Palestinians.
The regime’s bloody onslaught in Gaza has killed at least 65,141 Palestinians, mostly women and children so far.
