US Vice President JD Vance said on Wednesday in comments at the Kennedy Center that he expressed his hopes that nuclear talks between Iran and the United States would be fruitful.
The US is in negotiations with Iran and is expected to conclude successfully, he stressed.
“We were not sure if Iran wanted nuclear weapons or not. We will ensure a deal on the country’s nuclear program in discussions between Tehran and Washington,” Vance said the Deccan Herald reported.
This is while Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized Iran’s nuclear activities as completely peaceful and in accordance with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) standards.
With nuclear talks going on between Iran and the United States, the US has taken international measures against Iran under the pretext of the nuclear issue and imposed various sanctions on Tehran.
