On behalf of the Venezuelan people and the government, Pinto has expressed his “warmest celebration” to the Iranian minister, celebrating the long-standing relationship between the two countries, news outlets reported.
Top Venezuela diplomats emphasized that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Venezuela and Iran has reflected a significant growth over the last few decades and deepening relationships in a variety of areas.
He further emphasized Venezuela’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Iran, in line with the 2022-2042 collaboration roadmap.
Pinto emphasized the importance of joint efforts in multilateralism, particularly through a group of friends defending the UN Charter.
He concluded by celebrating his friendship with his Iranian counterpart.
In June 2022, Venezuela and Iran signed a 20-year cooperation plan that includes Iran’s assistance in repairing and maintaining existing Venezuelan refineries, as well as other technical and engineering expertise.
