Caracas – The QUDS Day ceremony took place on Friday evening in the capital of Caracas, Venezuela, and received a warm welcome from Venezuela, local Muslims, and residents of Iran and Palestinians.
During the event, representatives from various pro-Palestinian organizations gave speeches denounced the actions of the Zionist regime and highlighted the importance of global solidarity in favour of the Palestinian cause. They reiterated their commitment to continuing their struggles with oppression and imperialism, saying “the Palestinian cause is the cause of mankind.”
The ceremony took place at Plaza de Juventud, one of Caracas’ main squares, and featured a variety of programs, including live music performances and street theaters.
These activities created a vibrant and energetic atmosphere and strengthened the solidarity of the nation in support of Palestine.
Furthermore, statements condemning Israel were read aloud at the event, with participants signing a petition reflecting the same sentiment. To close the programme, Hide and Seek, a short film directed by Iranian filmmaker Morteza Southernde, was screened for the audience.
The QUDS Day Event was organized with the participation of the people of Venezuela, the country’s Ministry of Culture, the cultural attachment of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Venezuela, the local non-governmental organization supporting Palestine, and the Islamic Ideology Promotion Organization of the Iranian Arts Bureau in Iran.
