TEHRAN – The funeral of famous Iranian voice actor Manoochehr Valizadeh was held on Friday morning at the Iranian Artist Forum in Tehran.
The event was attended by his family, close friends, and many artists in the fields of dubbing, film, theatre, radio and television, along with his dedicated fans, Mehr reported.
Following the ceremony, Valizadeh’s body was taken to Zafra Cemetery south of Tehran, where he lay to rest in the artists section.
Valizadeh, who had been receiving intensive medical care at the hospital for the past month due to respiratory and lung problems, passed away Wednesday at the age of 84.
Valizadeh is one of Iran’s most well-known and beloved voice actors and is known for lending his voice to some of the most iconic characters in film and television.
In his career spanning over 60 years, he played a key role in shaping the golden age of Iranian dubbing. His distinctive voice and stunning performance brought many international and domestic characters back to life, making them a famous name among generations of Iranian audiences.
Valizadeh was a dubbed manager, voice actor, voiceover artist and actor. He lends his voice to hundreds of movies.
Iranians dubbed famous actors such as Robert Denilo in “The Godfather 2” and “Tax Driver”, and the “Matrix” trilogy, “Forest Gump”, “Green Mile”, “Private Ryan, Savings” , “Sally” and “Captain Phillips”, “First Date of the 50” and “Click” Adam Sandler, Mifunetoshiro, “Seven Samurai”, “Nicolas Cage”, “Rock”, “Pulp Fiction” and ” John Travolta from “The Killing Season”, Jim Carrey from “Damn and Dunbar”, “Fun with Dick and Jane”, “Sonic of Hedgehog” “The Enemy of the Nation”, “The Pursuit of Happiness”, “I am a Legend”, “I, the Robot”, “Magnolia” Will Smith “Collect”, “Edge of Tomorrow”, and… Lucky Luke, Famous characters from the series such as Woody, Boots Pass, Garfield.
