TEHRAN – Vice President of Women and Families Affairs Zafra Belz Hazar has denounced the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Iran condemned Israeli military attacks on Iran and sought violations of children’s rights during the 12-day attack.
In a letter to UNICEF Executive Director Katherine Russell, officials called for the revitalization of Article 45(c) on the rights of children.
More than 126 women, including pregnant women, were marched in the bombardment of residential and home destruction, Behrouz-Azar said.
Israel, which targeted civilians and civil infrastructure, violated paragraphs 4 and 4 of the UN Charter, officials further noted.
As a country that has signed the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Israel violates the principles and Articles 3, 19, 20, 24 and 38, as well as the principles of distinction and proportion, Behrouz-Azar added.
The silence of international organizations will encourage criminals. The world should not be indifferent to the murder of children. UNICEF must fulfill its responsibility as an institution responsible for defending the rights of children.
The war between Israel and Iran began on June 13th and stopped on June 24th.
Approximately 1,062 marry people and 5,800 injured
Said Ohadi, head of the Iranian martyr and Veterans Foundation, confirmed Monday that at least 1,062 people have been killed and 5,800 other people have been injured in Israel’s 12-day military attacks on Iran.
Speaking at a Tehran press conference, Ohadi said 47 children and two pregnant women were among the martialists. Thirty-two Iranian families endured multiple losses, and one family lost 12 members.
To promote identification, Ohadi has announced the establishment of a “DNA Diagnostic Centre” that will resolve cases within 24 hours, along with the newly launched Maraj Martyrs facility in Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery. Currently, 24 bodies remain unidentified there.
The foundation’s directors sparked a heart-wrenching story, with evidence that “such martyrs had no connection to nuclear facilities,” including two-month-old Rayan Gassemian and the martial arts of Behanabadi family, as evidence that their mother and three children had died.
On June 13, the Israeli regime launched an astonishing and provocative attack on Iran, killing numerous senior military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians.
A week later, on June 22, the United States escalated its conflict with natural airstrikes at Iran’s nuclear facilities.
By June 24, Iran’s retaliation operations against both Israel and the United States had forced the halt of illegal attacks.
