TEHRAN – After visiting several departments of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Foreign Minister Abbas Aragushi affirmed the country’s unwavering commitment to its nuclear program.
“I have worked closely with the Atomic Energy Agency for many years and have visited its centers many times, and each time I visit I am proud of the progress that has been made. Our nuclear industry is vast and is making progress across multiple sectors,” he said.
He emphasized that nuclear science is very complex and is a great achievement for Iranian scientists. “No one can ignore these achievements, as our scientists have worked tirelessly, fought and even shed their blood to achieve them,” Araguchi added.
Responding to Western criticism, he said nuclear weapons were a pretext and the real concern was Iran’s progress in areas ranging from medicine, industry, environment and agriculture.
