He made his remarks in a post X on Sunday hours before the official funeral for the late Hezbollah leader in Beirut, news television reported.
“The great Lebanese nation deserves to be proud of its brave sons, especially these two great leaders. They are faithful to their pledges and are the nation’s nation until they are martyred for God. The hero who defended honor writes,” he wrote. “We are faithful to our pledge.”
Israel assassinated longtime Hezbollah leader Nasrara in an airstrike in southern Beirut in September 2024 using a US-provided bomb to fill a bunker.
The following month, the criminal administration assassinated Safiedinine, the head of Hezbollah’s executive council in an attack on the outskirts of Beirut.
Hezbollah postponed the funeral for both leaders due to the possibility of an Israeli attack at the ceremony.
Iran’s parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bakar Karibah said on Sunday that the Israeli regime would grab the southern part of Lebanon, attack the country and destroy it.
“We are delighted that today the Gaza people have arrived in Beirut when they return to their land,” Karibahu said as he arrived in Beirut to attend the ceremony.
“In the same way, the Zionist regime was kicked out of southern Lebanon and security was established in Lebanon.”
