TEHRAN – Yale University in the United States has stopped Iranian scholar Helier Dutagi from the Deputy Director of Law and Politics and Economics (LPE) project following a smear campaign by an online Israeli outlet Jewish online that powered AI.
The incident underscores the escalating use of technology and national power to silence pro-Palestinian voices during Trump’s second administration, claiming to expose our hypocrisy and defend free speech while weaponizing McCarthyist tactics against opponents.
Doutaghi, an Iranian-born international law expert and associate researcher at Yale University Law School, took administrative leave within 24 hours of the March 3 article, denounced its relationship with Samidoun, a propalestine group approved by the US Treasury Department.
The Zionist outlet, exposed by Haretz as an AI-driven bot network with ties to Israeli military groups, has been labelled “terrorists” for her outspoken criticism of the Israeli regime’s war crimes in Gaza.
Yale did not conduct an independent investigation and instead relied on the disinformation generated by AI to justify Doutaghi’s interrogation under conditions he described as “a given conviction.”
Denied access to religious accommodation and campuses during Ramadan, Datagi denounced the university’s actions as “retaliation against Palestinian solidarity” and “blatant acts of Zionist McCarthyism.”
Links to Yale War Benefits and Zionist Donors
Yale’s appointment of David Ring from Wiggin and Dana suggests that slapstick questioning could be a conflict of interest.
A State Department appointee and a defense contractor’s advocate like Lockheed Martin, Ring is the benefit of the F-35 jet used by the Israeli regime in Gaza.
Doutaghi pointed to Yale’s financial relationships with these companies, saying the university “prioritized Zionist donors over equity.”
Doutaghi’s lawyer, Eric Lee, accused Yale of “bending his knees at Trump’s dictatorship,” and linked her suspension to the administration’s “catch and revocation” policy.
The initiative, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, will revoke visas for international students accused of supporting Palestinian rights using AI.
Double standard for freedom of speech
The US government’s selective enforcement of freedom of speech is impressive. Platforms such as Jewish online are allowed to spread disinformation generated by unchecked AI, but Iranian and Palestinian supporters face censorship, deportation and even death threats to express their ideas.
The designations of 60 universities that the Trump administration is investigating for “anti-Semitism” — the pretext of criminalizing Palestinian speeches — underscore this hypocrisy.
Doutaghi warns that “Zionist McCarthyism treats solidarity with Palestine as a crime,” depicting similarities with US Cold War dust
He said Halil’s detention exemplifies the criminalization of objections. “This is not about national security, it’s about silencing resistance to US imperialism and Zionist settlers against colonialism,” he said.
Her case galvanizes demands to defend academic freedom and Palestinian rights as legal battles continue.
“This is the last shelter of a crumbling empire,” she insisted, urging resistance to “oppression of beasts pretending to be law.”
