Tehran – Yazd University has become a new member of the Ministerial Cooperation and Cooperation Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation (COMSTECH) of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC), an inter-Islamic network of virtual universities (CINVU).
CINVU is an international education, research, knowledge base and technology network affiliated with the position of minister operated under the supervision of Iran’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
OIC’s Comstech has established CINVU to improve scientific, educational, academic research and technical collaboration between Islamic countries, and to support educational and research networks based on technology and knowledge engineering, and will cooperate with entrepreneurs and Muslim scientists, students, students and researchers in the research of entrepreneurs and Muslim scientists, students and researchers.
CINVU aims to develop education equity and harness the capabilities of smart technology and networking to promote universal education. It leverages education, research, innovation and technology to further and empower Islamic countries.
Networks facilitate interactions between students, professors and universities, and exchange of information and resources. It also aims to strengthen strategic management models in higher education in Islamic world, particularly in member countries.
It promotes the role of virtual and smart universities in national and regional development, provides a basis for joint cooperation to benefit from synergistic effects between universities and scientific, cultural and research centers in the Islamic world, and provides for the development of knowledge-based research and the development of knowledge-based research among other potential drains, as well as implementing joint, research, cultural and management projects within the organization.
Iran’s Komstec Secretariat will be strengthened
The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology is planning to strengthen three secretariats belonging to Comstec, where the headquarters is located in the country, where the Minister stands.
These three offices are networks of virtual universities in the Islamic world, networks of nanotechnology and science and technology parks, with the IRNA citing that Minister of Science Hossein Simaei-Sarraf said.
The staff spoke at a meeting in Tehran with Comstec Coordinator Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary in December 2024.
During the meeting, Simaei-Sarraf highlighted the high capabilities of Iranian scientists in implementing scientific technology projects, calling for mutual and synergistic relationships between Iran and Komstec.
