In a statement Wednesday, Yemeni forces announced that the navy is “directing towards the occupied Palestine Um al-Rash Rash Port (Eilat)” and “targeting the ship “Eternal C”” after the Navy ignored warnings and calls issued by the Navy.
The military operation took place with “unmanned surface vehicles and six cruises and ballistic missiles,” according to the statement.
Noting that the ship has “completely sunk,” the statement said the operation was “documented in audio and video.”
However, the crew were “rescued” by Yemeni forces and “taken to a safe place,” the statement said, the media reported.
The military said the attack “resumed operations with ports of explicit violations” of the ban imposed on ships and their owners on Israel-related vessels.
The statement stressed that the ban imposed on Israeli-related ships in the Red and Arabian Seas is still in force and warns businesses against Israeli ports engaged in transactions and activities involving them.
“Concerns over the safety of the ship and its crew, we repeat warnings to businesses and countries about the consequences of dealing with Zionist entities and sending the ship to occupied Palestinian ports.”
The statement said Yemen’s retaliation operation “continues until the attack on Gaza ceases and the siege imposed on it is lifted.”
Earlier this week, the Yemeni army released footage of a ship whose owned company violated Yemen’s ban on Yemeni ships.
Since the onset of genocide in October 2023, Yemeni forces have implemented numerous operations to support Gazan in the war attacking targets across occupied Palestinian territory, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading to regional ports.
The administration began the war after Gaza resistance fighters surprised Al Aksa Storm against Zionist groups in response to the administration’s decades of blood and devastation campaign against Palestinians.
The regime’s bloody onslaught in Gaza has killed at least 57,680 Palestinians, mostly women and children so far.
