Tehran – Yemeni forces have launched a new “high precision” military operation against the Israeli occupation regime.
Advanced Palestinian-2-pole ersonic ballistic missiles with “multiple warheads” were used to target sensitive Israeli sites in the occupied Al-QUDS region (Jerusalem).
In a statement aired, a spokesman for the Yemeni military said the attack was a response to Gaza’s recent development and atrocities and a show of support for the Palestinian people.
Israel has accepted President Donald Trump’s offer of “peace” but the attack on Gaza has killed at least 66 Palestinians and injured more than 250, the Gaza Health Ministry reported on Sunday.
Yemeni brigadier Yahya Sari confirmed that the strike “successfully brings its purpose and brings millions of Zionist settlers into panic in the shelter.”
He said the operation was a direct response to the “genocide crimes” against the Palestinians and an expression of solidarity towards their continued struggle.
The Yemeni military emphasized that they are “coordinating with Gaza’s latest events and Palestinian resistance groups to “keep the development under close surveillance.”
The statement noted that Yemeni forces will act accordingly in a way that “ensures that halt the attacks of the oppressed Palestinians, particularly Zionist people, and the halt of the lifting of the siege of the Gaza Strip.”
He also emphasized that Yemen’s support operations will continue until Gaza’s genocide is over and the siege is lifted.
Previously, a spokesman for the Israeli occupation reported the detection of missiles fired from Yemen’s territory towards occupied Palestine.
Following the report, the air raid siren was triggered in the central and near the West Sea.
Hebrew media also reported hearing several explosions in the central region, suggesting that the explosion is likely the result of attempts to intercept missiles.
In response to the attack, Israeli media reported that Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv had temporarily closed airspace.
This latest development is part of a continuing string of military actions by the Yemeni army targeting Israeli positions, and what they declared are acts of support for the Palestinian people and retaliation for the ongoing war of genocide in Gaza.
In November 2023, Yemen opened a Gaza support front targeting Israeli ships in the Red Sea, and a ship docking in Israeli ports. Regular missile and drone attacks on Israeli cities have escalated naval blockades as genocide intensified.
