Yemeni Ansarra Group said on Saturday it shot down another US-made MQ-9 drone over Sanaa province in the last 24 hours.
“The drone was shot down using locally manufactured underground interaviation missiles,” Yemeni military spokesman Yahiya Sari said in a statement aired by Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV.
“This was the second drone that our air defense successfully fired down in 24 hours and served the 21st day from November 2023,” he said.
Video footage of the drone will air later that day, according to Al-Masirah TV.
Sally confirmed the group’s support for the Palestinians, saying the operation was “until Israeli attacks on Gaza ceased and the siege was lifted.”
On Friday, Salea claimed that the Houthi group shot down a US MQ-9 drone on the 20th since November 2023.
The US has not yet commented on Houthi’s claims.
