TEHRAN – Yemen continues its support front for Gaza until the final moments of Israel’s genocidal war against Gaza.
A ballistic missile fired from Yemen toward Tel Aviv set off sirens across Israel and was heard in Ramallah.
Hebrew media reported that Israelis fled en masse from Tel Aviv’s beaches. Footage shared by Israeli news platforms showed sirens wailing across central Israel and many people fleeing to evacuation centers.
According to Israeli media, rocket fragments also landed near the village of Beitar Illit, south of occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem). Sirens wailed at Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion airports, then explosions were heard from the occupied West Bank.
Israeli emergency services confirmed that several people were injured while rushing to evacuation centers.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport was temporarily disrupted due to a Yemeni ballistic missile.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that fire brigades were called to Beer Yaakov, south of Tel Aviv, after a fire caused by fragments from a Yemeni missile.
According to a spokesman for the Israeli occupation forces, sirens were activated after missiles were fired from Yemen.
A statement released on Saturday and read by a Yemeni military spokesperson said:
Mr. Yahya Salih said: “In response to the oppression of the Palestinian people and their combatants and the recent massacre of our people in Gaza, and the promised conquest and victory within the fifth phase of support in the fight for jihad. ”. .
Salih further added: “The missile forces of the Yemeni army, with the help of God Almighty, carried out certain military operations using ballistic missiles and targeting the enemy Israel’s so-called Ministry of Defense in the occupied territory of Tel Aviv. ” he added. , du al-fiqar type. ”
“Thanks to God, the missile reached its target with high precision, but the interception system was unable to intercept it,” the spokesperson said.
The statement said: “The Yemeni army stands by the side of the Palestinian resistance forces in the Gaza Strip and will continue to support the Palestinian resistance forces in the Gaza Strip to militarily respond to any violations or military escalation committed by Israel’s enemies during the implementation period of the ceasefire. We would like to reiterate our commitment to cooperating with the agreement. “
On Saturday evening, an Israeli military spokesperson said sirens had been sounded in several areas in the south following new missile launches from Yemen, adding that an investigation into the incident was underway.
Israeli media also reported that sirens sounded in Eilat and surrounding areas, while claiming that the missile had been intercepted.
In November 2023, Yemen blocked Israeli-related ships from entering Israeli ports and opened a Gaza support front. The ban on ships bound for the Israeli regime has bankrupted the port of Eilat.
As the Gaza massacre progressed, Yemeni forces escalated their operations, targeting Tel Aviv.
Regular shelling of Yemeni cities by the United States, Britain, and Israel has failed to deter Sana’a’s military operations in the Red Sea or the attack on Tel Aviv by hypersonic missiles.
More recently, Yemeni forces expanded their operations further by targeting Israeli power plants.
Despite the distance, hypersonic missiles launched from Yemen evaded multiple layers of anti-missile systems operated by CENTCOM and the Israeli military.
Sana’a’s government has vowed to halt operations only if Israel’s indiscriminate attacks on Gaza end and the deadly siege on the enclave is lifted.
These deadly bombings continued on Saturday.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 470 days after the start of the US-backed genocidal war, “Israeli occupation forces carried out three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 23 deaths and 83 deaths in the past 24 hours. was injured and taken to the hospital.”
“There are still many victims under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulances and civil defense personnel are unable to reach them.”
The ministry also said that “since October 7, 2023, the death toll from Israeli aggression has increased to 46,899 martyrs and 110,725 wounded.”
