In a statement reported by Al Masila Television, spokesman for the Yemeni Army, Yahya Saree, said missile forces had fired the Palestine 2 supersonic missile that would hit military targets in the occupied Negev region on Thursday.
The operation was described as a success, and reportedly forced many settlers to seek shelter.
Sally added that the drone unit has carried out two additional strikes. One uses two drones to attack the military targets of Negev at Ramon Airport near Umm al-rashrash, and the other with a single drone.
The statement described the attack in retaliation for Israel’s actions in Gaza and Israel’s attacks on its territory.
Sally emphasized Yemen’s commitment to supporting Palestinians and his ability to respond to Israeli hostility.
Previously, senior Ansurrara officials warned that Yemen’s retaliation operations no longer leave a safe place for extremist settlers within the Israeli regime and the territories of Israeli occupied territories.
Abdullah al-Ahlmi, director of media relations at Yemen’s Ansarlah, said on Thursday that “the horrifying crime committed by the Zionist regime by targeting citizens of the capital’s Tahrir Square will not be uncensored.”
He further emphasized that Yemen’s retaliatory strikes will target military bases, airports, settlers gatherings and other sensitive locations.
He pledged to respond promptly and appropriately to Israeli crimes against the Yemeni state. “Our response is to target a gathering of Zionists wherever you are, whether it’s a settlement, an airport lounge or anywhere else.”
“The enemy must know that our people’s blood is precious and that this dropout will cause stronger mutual reactions and retaliation,” emphasized Al Hounmi.
The statement comes the day after about 30 civilians were killed and more than 130 injured when they launched a wave of air strikes on the states of Israel’s capital Sanaa and northern Al Jof.
Yemen’s health ministry said the attack struck civilians and residential areas, including a home in Sanaa’s Altaril district, a medical facility on 60th Avenue in the city’s southwest, and a government complex in Joeff’s capital, Al Hazm.
The civil defense team added that they were working to eliminate the fire caused by the artillery fire and to separate survivors from the tile rub.
An unnamed senior Yemeni source who revealed to Al Mayaden’s television news channel that Israeli strike targeted its headquarters and Al-Yemen newspapers on September 26, injuring several journalists.
Israel has already killed hundreds of journalists during its relentless attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Yemen over the past two years.
The UN also warned of ongoing airstrikes in Yemen and raised concerns after the latest attacks hit one of the Arab state’s offices.
The attack came days after Yemeni air attacks were killed on August 28th by Ahmed Galeb Nasser Al-Rahawi and several other ministers.
In light of the war of genocide in Gaza that began in October 2023, Yemeni military implemented a strategic maritime blockade aimed at hampering the provision of military resources to Israel, while urging global communities to deal with Gaza’s severe humanitarian crisis.
At the same time, they conducted multiple missile and drone attacks on major targets in Israeli-occupied territories, demonstrating support for the Palestinians in Gaza.
The Yemeni army has clearly stated that they will continue their operations until Israel ends its position and air attacks in Gaza.
Israel has killed at least 64,656 Palestinians, mostly women and children, in the besieged Gaza Strip since October 2023, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
