TEHRAN – Yemeni military announced that it had targeted the airline for the second time in just a few hours.
In a statement aired, military spokesman Brigadier Yahya Saree confirmed that Yemeni forces targeted USS Harry Truman, a USS aircraft carrier for the second time in 24 hours in the North Sea.
The attack included 18 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones in engagement that lasted several hours.
The statement also said they successfully blocked planned hostile attacks against Yemen.
The enemy fighters were forced to return to the base after Yemeni forces launched missiles and drones with aircraft carriers and their accompanying warships.
Surry said the operation was part of Yemeni military response to the ongoing US invasion.
He also said the attack was part of what Sally described as a battle between tyranny and arrogance.
“The goal of America is to conquer the entire region to Israel’s enemies and impose an equation of exploitation,” said Abdulmalik al-Houthi, leader of Ansarlah.
In a speech on Sunday night, he added, “The Yemeni army will respond to escalation through escalation,” and warned, “If the US attacks on our country continue, we will move to additional escalation options.”
Abdulmalick also said, “Americans are trying to influence international voyages by turning the ocean into battlefields.”
US officials claim that American fighters fired down around 12 drones launched by Yemeni forces over several hours on Sunday.
US officials confirmed to the Associated Press that their involvement with USS Truman lasted for hours, claiming that the “missile” was far from the aircraft carrier.
Another American official told Reuters on condition of anonymity, claiming it had fired 11 drones fired by an Anthrara in the Red Sea on Sunday.
On Saturday night, the US launched a fatal attack on Yemen. It conducted areas targeting 47 strikes across the states of Sanaa, Sadah, Albaida, Hajah, Damar, Malibu and Aljov.
The attack was carried out by US air forces stationed in the area and by navy deployed in the Red Sea.
A career strike group of Harry S. Truman aircraft stationed in the Red Sea also took part in the attack.
Ansalala opened the Gaza support front to pressure the Israeli regime to accept a ceasefire and lift the siege of Gaza.
Yemen’s operation ended in mid-January when the Gaza ceasefire was signed. However, the recent Israeli aid entering the enclave has pose a threat to Yemeni ships that ban voyages in the local waters.
According to Abdulmalik, the Sanaa government will not be stopped by attacks by the US, British and Israel and will continue to support Gaza until the enclave’s blockade is lifted.
He said, “The problem of starving the people of Gaza and stealing them from food is not a simple problem. It is a move towards their extinction through one of the means of genocide.”
Anees Alsbahi, a spokesman for the Yemeni Ministry of Health, said the number of deaths from US invasions on the capital, Sanaa and several governors have risen to 53, with five children and two women dead.
The number of injured people rose to 98, including 18 children and one woman.
