TEHRAN – A deadly Israeli-American air attack on Yemen and its airports has prompted a harsh warning of escalation from the Sanaa government.
Reports show that 20 fighters attacked the port city of Hodeida. This includes direct attacks on the basil cement factory.
The injured were rushed to the hospital, and civil defense teams moved to stabilize the situation at the port. The US fighters then launched additional airstrikes, including six raids on the capital, Sanaa.
The Basil Cement Factory is located 50km northeast of Hodeida Port and 2.5km southwest of Basil city. Founded in March 1973, it has since expanded, reaching 750,000 tons of annual production capacity.
The Yemeni Ministry of Health reported that three civilians were killed and 35 injured in the attack at a cement factory. One civilian was killed and four others were injured in the attack elsewhere in Hodeida.
The Hebrew media claimed that the Israeli Air Force “attacked nine different targets at the same time.”
The Israeli outlet added that “the attack on Yemen was fully coordinated with the US.” However, US military officials denied US involvement directly in Israel’s airstrikes against Yemen.
Despite the massive attacks, Israel Channel 13 said, “The airstrikes in Yemen are just a repetition of the past. I don’t think they will stop launching the Hooty missiles, and I don’t think the Air Force is preparing for potential Hooty retaliation.”
Israeli media also reported “Israel’s vigilance about possible Yemen’s response” and confirmed that the attack was “end of.”
Israeli forces on Tuesday warned residents near Sanaa International Airport to leave the area the day after a polar ballistic missile landed about 200 metres from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport. A few hours later, Sanaa Airport was attacked by Israel.
In response, Yemen’s Advanced Operations Command Centre (HOCC) issued a formal notice to global airlines.
“In response to the escalation of the Israeli regime and the decision to strengthen offensive operations against the besieged Gaza Strip, the Yemeni army hereby declares in line with its religious, humanitarian and moral duties standing on oppressed Palestinians.
A comprehensive ban on all air voyages with enemy airports processed at Ben Gurion Airport will take effect immediately indefinitely.
We urge all international airlines to strictly adhere to this declaration to ensure the safety of their aircraft, passengers and crews. ”
Following the attack, a high rank Yemeni source added, “This attack only encourages Yemen to continue to pursue its noble purpose,” and declared, “force cannot stop us.”
Sources warned that the next phase would be “very difficult for Israeli enemies,” and emphasized that “the occupied Palestine air blockade is a painful blow to the fragile structure of the entity.”
Ali Al-Khahome, a member of the Politburo of Ansalala, warned that “the consequences of Israeli invasion of Yemen are serious for Zionists.”
He argued that “Zionist private infrastructure targets reflect their failures and confusion, but this will not stop Yemen from supporting Gaza and Palestine.”
Arcahome further warned, “Zionists should not be pleased. Yemen’s response must be powerful, measure for measurement, and they must support it for a catastrophic strike.”
Yemeni Information Minister Hashem Sharaf Al-Din said, “The targets of Israeli enemy in Yemeni and targets of Yemeni cement plants will expand the target banks of Israeli entities that will take the target banks of Yemeni military.
“Israel attacks on Yemen show that there are virtually zero Israeli military target banks in Yemen,” military expert Hariel Nasrara said.
Israel will resort to strengthening Yemen’s lockdown and destroying infrastructure that will pressure retreat, like Washington. Certainly, the possibility of Sanaa bringing a painful response and imposing airlocks on Israeli groups is actually a painful outlook. ”
