TEHRAN – Abdul Malik al-Hohti, leader of Yemen’s Ansarlah movement, warned that if the regime resumes its attacks in Gaza, it is ready to launch an attack on Israel.
In a televised speech, he warned Israel about the potential consequences of a truce-fire with Hamas on January 19, which stated “our hands are on the trigger.”
The warning said on Monday that President Donald Trump would suggest Hamas release all prisoners of war held by Gaza resistance groups by noon on Saturday, or cancel the ceasefire and “breaking hell.” It happens after that.
Shortly after Israel began its war with Gaza in October 2023, Yemeni forces began launching missiles and drones at Israel in solidarity with the Palestinians at the enclave. It also collided with a ship related to Israel in the Red Sea.
The Ansarla movement paused attacks on Israel after the implementation of the ceasefire contract.
Al Houch also accused the Arab countries of being a disassociated over the Palestinian issue, and condemned them on the US agenda.
Ansarlah leaders warned that the Arab world’s inaction against Gaza is further promoting Washington’s ambitions in the West Asia region.
He called on Arab countries to maintain a firm attitude towards plans for forced evacuation of Palestinians.
He added that Washington’s approach “without exceptions” threatens the stability of the entire region.
He had mentioned Trump’s repeated calls to forcibly drive away Palestinians in Gaza.
Trump has come up with ideas for the US to take control of Gaza and move its population to countries such as Egypt and Jordan. His plan sparked international backlash.
