TEHRAN – The second metstone market will be held in Zaland, Karman province in December 2025, said Abdul Hossein Hemati, a lawmaker representing Zaland and Koubanan in the Iranian parliament.
He expressed hope that the event would attract visitors to Kamani and even attract domestic and foreign tourists, the IRNA reported.
Lawmakers recall that the Meteorite National Festival took place in Zaland earlier this year, which led to the emergence of Meteorite’s first local market.
“We will support this with Magiclis. The Governor’s approach to this area is invaluable.”
“We plan to hold our local metstone market twice a year.”
In a meeting with the director of Zarand Cultural Heritage Department Mohammad Eslami, Hemmati highly praised his efforts to successfully hold the first Met Stone Festival in Zarand. “The successful holding of this festival, the dynamic participation of activists from these sectors in different regions of the country, and the reflection on this event led to the vision of the geotourism region of Zaland, and the greatest supporters have come to exist to feed The Mactureman, including the presence of dinosaur traces as the largest and old, advanced animal, as a result of such an event.”
“This measure has shown that we have very great capabilities in our country. If it is well planned to draw tourists, it will bring even more benefits to cities, states, and even the entire country.”
Eslami said on his side, “We tried to open new windows for the tourism industry.
He added that Carman’s Cultural Heritage Division is implementing important measures to transform Zaland into a pilot geopark across the country.
“We gradually witness the presence of activists from around the world in Zaland, which draws many tourists to the city and the state of Carman.”
Zaland is located 75 km north of Karman State.
