During a meeting with Armenian President Vahanyachaturian on Tuesday, Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to strengthening friendly relations with Armenia. He emphasized that the visit was intended to strengthen the bond of friendship between the two countries and expressed optimism about the important and useful agreement that emerged from their discussions.
The Iranian president also expressed his gratitude to Armenia for condemning the Islamic regime’s invasion of the Islamic republic, highlighting the hypocrisy of those who denounce Iran while overlooking the atrocities committed by Israeli regimes in Gaza and elsewhere.
Regarding the US presence in the region, Pezeshkian said Iran is fundamentally opposed to US involvement, citing past experiences showing Washington did not support its commitment.
In response, President Kachaturian expressed his confidence that President Pezeschkian’s visit would further solidify bilateral relations. He recognized the quality of enduring cooperation between the two countries since Armenia’s independence.
Kachaturian focused on the rich historical, cultural and civilized relationships that connect Iran and Armenia across thousands of years of common experience. He highlights the continued constructive involvement of Iranian companies in various sectors within Armenia, suggesting rich opportunities for further collaboration.
He affirmed Armenia’s commitment to peaceful coexistence, expressing his hope that the three Caucasian republics could develop friendly relations with Iran and Turkey, ensuring mutual benefits for all involved parties.
The Armenian president said Israeli invasion only strengthened Iran’s unity. He said international principles are easily violated, with one-sided stages and bullying spreading across the world stages.
