Abbas Aragci commented on the visit to Armenia accompanied by President Masuud Pezeshkian on Tuesday.
He was talking to journalists after a meeting where high-level delegations from Armenia and Iran held a meeting chaired by Yerevan’s Pezeshkian and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“There was a very serious and constructive negotiation between the two sides. There was detailed discussion on extensive economic cooperation, including the implementation of trade, investment, technology and engineering projects,” the Iranian Foreign Minister said.
He said, “There have also been significant discussions in the field of transportation and communications routes. The Armenian side provided a detailed explanation of the recent discussion in Washington, recognizing the red lines drawn by the Islamic Republic of Iran and ensuring that they are always paying attention to them.
The Iranian Foreign Minister added: “It has been agreed that a comprehensive document on strategic cooperation between the two countries will be finalised and signed in the near future.”
