Khatami stressed that the main mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces and ground forces is to maintain Iran’s independence and territorial integrity.
He pointed out that various measures such as digging canals and building embankments have been implemented over the years along Iran’s eastern and northeastern borders.
However, he said the construction of the border wall is a fundamental step to address Iran’s specific border issues with Afghanistan, its neighbor and brotherly country.
On Tuesday, Qatam al-Anbiya Central Command commander Brigadier General Ali Abdullahi said Iranian forces are at the highest level of readiness and fully capable of countering any threat to the border.
During a visit to assess the combat readiness of the Revolutionary Guards Navy in the Nazeat Islands, Rear Admiral Abdullahi said the inspection was aimed at assessing the readiness of the force, noting that “significant progress has been made in various areas of the islands and coastal areas.”
He highlighted the deployment of new and advanced capabilities to the Revolutionary Guards Navy, which he said strengthened the force’s operational capabilities and enhanced its ability to conduct a balanced and symmetrical war compared to the previous year.
According to the commander, security in all Iranian islands and coastal areas is fully maintained, indicating that operational forces are increasing their readiness to protect the country’s land and sea borders, especially in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.
He added that the current level of readiness is “excellent”, stressing that the military is more capable than ever and more capable than in previous years thanks to motivated and dedicated personnel.
