At least two terrorists were killed in an attack on South Waziristan’s Cadet College Wana on Monday as security forces carried out a clearing operation at the educational facility, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on the website Dawn.
The military’s media wing said the terrorists’ initial attempts to breach border security were thwarted by “vigilance and a decisive response by our armed forces.”
However, the attackers then crashed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the university’s main gate, causing it to collapse and damaging adjacent buildings. The terrorists then entered the educational facility and were “cornered into the university’s administration building.”
“Displaying unwavering courage and professional excellence, our forces engaged the intruders with precision and eliminated two Huwaris belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna Al-Khuwari,” ISPR said.
