The AEOI has expressed strong objection to treaties on blatant violations of international law, particularly non-proliferation of nuclear weapons (NPT) and other mechanisms that even ban threats to nuclear facilities. The organization also criticized the director’s omission and urged it to condemn such violations of international regulations.
Additionally, AEOI will address Grossi, saying that Iran took the necessary actions to defend its sovereignty and pursue appropriate legal procedures regarding the Director-General’s omission and accomplice in this matter.
Iranian organisations have also urged them to act appropriately in this regard, particularly with regard to the NPT, to protect international law.
The full statement is as follows:
Despite repeated reminders and warnings about your inaction regarding the repeated heinous aggression committed by the Zionist regime against the peaceful nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the numerous responses leading to letter number 30/32 dated June 22, 2025. Attacks by the Zionist regime, this time the US violated international law this morning (Sunday, June 22, 2025), attacked Isfahan’s nuclear site, Natanz and Fordo enrichment plants, and is under continuous surveillance from its agents.
It should be noted that the US President has formally assumed responsibility for these attacks. This is while the United States, a permanent resident of UNSC, clearly violated the UN Charter. These armed attacks include the Convention in Geneva and its additional protocols, the International Atomic Energy Agency Act, Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Comprehensive Safeguard Agreement (INFCIRC/214), Resolutions of the IAEA Committee, and Resolutions of the IAEA Committee, adopted on 18 September 2009, and the adoption of the General Conference (GC) (GC) (IAEA Safety Standards and other internationally relevant measures).
This inaction must be immediately concluded, condemning the US and Zionist administrations of violations of these international laws. It is clear that while taking necessary steps to defend its sovereignty, the Islamic Republic of Iran will pursue appropriate legal action through relevant international authorities, particularly against your own inaction and accomplices against these heinous crimes.
