More than 800 teams from 24 countries participated in the 2025 Indonesia International Science and Invention Competition, which was held from November 12 to 15. The Iranian student team competed side by side with leading scientific nations and stood out by winning three gold medals and a special award.
Mehdi Rashidi Jahan, head of the Iranian student science team, praised the students’ impressive achievements. “More than 800 teams from 24 countries participated in this year’s event. Our student inventors won three gold medals, a rare honor and positioning Iran as one of the world’s top leaders in the field of science and technology.”
The competition attracted participants from the United States, China, South Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, Malaysia, Canada, Luxembourg, Turkey, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Iranian teams competed in the fields of biotechnology, technology and artificial intelligence education, mathematics, engineering, chemistry, and nanotechnology, taking top honors alongside major scientific powers.
Rashidi Jahan announced the medal winners. Raman Nafariye won a gold medal and a special award in the field of biotechnology. The engineering team consisting of Radin Abbasi and Sam Rashidi won the gold medal, while Matin Hayati won the gold medal in the technology and artificial intelligence category, making them among the best teams in this field.
