The project director for infill drilling at Shobeir Nabavi, a gas field in South Pars, said that once the drilling and three well operations were completed this year (from March 21 to March 21, 2025), five million cubic meters were added to the gas production of this shared field.
Nabavi said on Tuesday that progress on the infill drilling project at South Pars gas fields continues to strengthen gas production.
He said that the three wells on the project were fully operational and that gas production from South Pursfield led to an overall increase of 5 million cubic meters per day.
Given the progress in drilling of other wells in the project, he added, more wells are expected to come online in the coming months.
The infill drilling project at South Pars gas fields includes drilling 35 new wells on 17 existing gas platforms, and once the project is completed and fully operational, gas production at South Pars will increase by 36 million cubic meters per day.
