Tehran – Held at Seoul Street at Tehran Expo 2025 – Iran’s largest export exhibit welcomed over 4,000 international visitors from 110 countries and served as an exceptional platform to showcase the domestic industrial and commercial capabilities.
The event opened up ways to provide foreign traders and economic stakeholders with a clear perspective on Iran’s potential and strengthen foreign investment opportunities.
One of the youngest participants, Shahid Soleimani Science and Technology Park, emerged as one of the most notable highlights of this edition, and stood out as the only knowledge-based pavilion.
The Pavilion, along with 75 innovative products from 16 companies under the park’s umbrella, is a hub for international business negotiations.
African heart fascinated by fabric concrete
One of the most popular products at the exhibition was its cement-based flexible fabric, which attracted a lot of attention from Africa and other international representatives. Foreign traders were explained about the production process and technical details, leading to numerous export contracts for this cutting-edge knowledge-based product.
Cement-based flexible fabric, also known as concrete canvas, is an innovative pre-made structural material created by combining a layer of fibrous fabric with a dry cement mixture. These fabrics are flexible before hydration and can fit a variety of surfaces.
Once hydrated, it hardens into a durable concrete layer. Due to ease of transport, quick installation and no heavy machinery required, concrete canvas is ideal for civil projects in remote or difficult to access areas.
It is commonly used for channel lining, erosion control, rapid infrastructure repairs, temporary shelters, and semi-major structures. This technology is recognized as a sustainable and innovative solution in civil engineering and disaster management, and has significantly reduced water, energy, time and labor compared to traditional concrete methods.
Developed at Shahid Soleimani Science and Technology Park, high-tech concrete fabrics are one of the most advanced technologies in the world.
The fabric concrete was also well received by the Omani delegation, who visited the pavilion early in the exhibition.
The quality of this product is roughly comparable to the quality of the UK, but the price is about a quarter of the price of a UK product. Furthermore, we are willing to transfer technology to other countries in Africa and Asia, but the UK does not offer such an opportunity.
Chinese investors want to cooperate
Chinese entrepreneur David visited the pavilion and explored a variety of products, including water purification systems, concrete fabrics, and quadcopters. During discussions with park officials, he expressed a strong interest in partnering with Shahid Soleimani Park’s knowledge-based companies.
He particularly emphasized the potential cooperation in telecommunications technology, celebrating the product as “innovative and extremely practical.”
Czech diplomats visit knowledge-based pavilion
Czech Republic diplomat Jan Chomsky toured the pavilion on the third day of the 2025 Expo. He described the showcase products as “very functional” and pointed out that there is a market in his country that is ready for them.
Shahid Soleimani Science and Technology Park continues to demonstrate Iran’s potential for expansion in advanced technology, promotes international partnerships and boosts non-oil exports.
