TEHRAN – A high-level conversation took place between Iranian and Egyptian diplomats on Monday, focusing on indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington and the situation in Gaza.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abba Aragut spoke on the phone with Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatti for discussions on regional development, with a special emphasis on advances in nuclear talks.
Araguchi described Abdelatti in the recent fourth round of indirect nuclear negotiations held in Muscat. This ongoing dialogue with Washington has been a subject of intense interest to Iranian allies and friends who are regularly updated about nuances and potential outcomes.
Abdelatti, on the Egyptian side, has expressed support for the debate and emphasized Cairo’s commitment to diplomatic solutions. He then shared an important update on Egypt’s aggressive mediation efforts aimed at ensuring a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
Both ministers agreed with the pressing need to immediately halt Israeli attacks on Gaza, addressing further broader issues of regime attacks and occupation in Lebanon and Syria, signaling a unified stance on regional stability.
