TEHRAN – Ayatollah Seyedalli Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution, condemned merciless Israeli crimes in the region during a meeting on Tuesday, saying it is an obligation that applies to everyone in the world to stand up to the heinous actions of the regime.
The leader met with a group of Iranian aid workers and organizers of the Medic Martil national conference. During the meeting, he also emphasized the need to promote Iran’s martialism and a culture of self-sacrifice to counter Western influences.
Ayatollah Khamenei described the ongoing Israeli invasion in Gaza as an antithesis of humanitarian values, saying, “The opposition to the spirit of sacrifice of the Iranian people is the crime and savage of the Zionist regime in Gaza, and the Western support for it.” He declared that it is an obligation for all to oppose this “false front.”
So far, during a deadly military campaign in the besieged enclave, Israel has deployed plans to massacre over 60,000 civilians, destroy territory to the ground and forcefully replace the remaining war-stricken population.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “Today, the world is run by these human-like beasts.” He stated that the main problem Western oppressors have in the Islamic Republic is their rejection of false civilization, saying, “False is destined to decline and destroy. However, to achieve this it requires action and immobility, but these only mandatory praise, avoiding passivity, withdrawal, false smiles, or praise.”
The leader emphasized the importance of cultural efforts to immortalize Iranian martyrs, especially doctors who sacrificed their lives during Saddam Hussein’s brutal invasion of Iran.
“Under the bullet’s ail, Medic was thinking of saving others, not themselves. Their incredible spirit of sacrifice was like helping even the prisoners of enemy they were sometimes wounded. This action is in stark contrast to a world without humanity.”
He added: “The selfless efforts of doctors and nurses at field hospitals near the frontline during sacred defense cannot be explained except in the language of art.”
Criticizing the failure to properly introduce the great achievements of Iranian people into the world, the revolutionary leader said:
The revolutionary leaders emphasized that the entry of ambitious and innovative young people into a variety of fields, including industry, politics, construction, literature, and the arts, is the driving force behind current progress. He added: “Nothing is possible in this country due to the presence of determined, motivated young people.”
