TEHRAN – The Iranian military chairman warned on Thursday that the Islamic Republic will respond proportionately to any threat.
Major General Mohammad Bakeli warned that the attack on Iran would result in significant losses for profitless invaders.
After an inspection tour of the southeastern and eastern borders, Bakeli emphasized that Iran’s main focus is deterrence, robust defense, permanent security and maintaining regional stability.
The military, particularly the Army ground forces, have made important strategic advances by mastering cutting-edge technology and deploying high-level defense systems in real-world conditions.
One of Iran’s major military achievements is the development of microairrafts designed to neutralize enemy microdrons.
He emphasized the role of the military in ensuring deterrence for its citizens, saying their high readiness and operational power serves as important deterrence against hostile intentions.
The top general also emphasized the coordinated efforts between the Army and the IRGC in protecting national security, saying all Army branches are working in conjunction with the IRGC to support internal and regional security as needed.
