Tehran-One of Imam Khomeini’s most enduring legacy is his pivotal role in bringing Palestine firmly back to the map of the world.
The former Iranian monarchical system under Mohammad Reza Pahlavi maintained a very favorable policy against the Israeli regime and consistently opposed the causes of the oppressed Palestinians.
At the time, this stance was welcomed throughout the Arab world. Pahlavi’s view found gratitude among Arab leaders, many of whom adopted similar positions.
Then, in 1979, the Imam appeared and led the Islamic Revolution, declaring that our focus today was Iran and Palestine tomorrow.
In response, the Arab world was dramatically reversed towards Iran at the time, claiming that Palestine was an Arab problem and had no connection to non-Arab countries.
However, Imam Khomeini imagined a different path. Palestine, abandoned by international law, could only be freed from Israeli occupation through some form of resistance.
From an Islamic standpoint, the third most sacred place in Islam, the Al-Aqsa Mosque remains under Israeli occupation in Al-Qudos (Jerusalem).
The 1979 revolution was, after all, an Islamic revolution, and Imam Khomeini continued to commit to his pledge to Palestine.
This commitment was surrounded by a new Iranian constitution that asserted the Islamic Republic’s obligation to stand with the oppressed.
Over time, further legislation strengthened this responsibility.
These laws ensure that the Iranian government cannot ignore the light-form of the Palestinian people, regardless of who leads it.
In the 1980s, Lebanon also endured Israeli occupation. Especially when Israeli tanks arrived at the Presidential Palace in Beirut.
In response, Iran supported resistance to Israeli aggression under the leadership of Imam Khomeini. Iran has pledged to help if people under Israeli oppression sought help.
This doctrine progressed under Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the successor of Imam Khomeini, and brought armed resistance from Lebanon and Gaza against Israeli occupation.
The emergence of Hezbollah in Lebanon ultimately expelled the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) in 2000.
In Gaza, a US-backed genocide campaign attempted to destroy Palestinian resistance, exposing the brutal atrocities committed by the Israeli regime, particularly against Palestinian children.
However, according to the American Intelligence Reporting community, Palestinian resistance in Gaza continues to be resilient today, just as it was on October 7, 2023.
According to other intelligence reports, Hamas said it has doubled the number of fighter jets in the past 20 months despite the pledge that the Israeli regime would eliminate it.
In contrast, Palestinian authority, indirectly highlighted by Imam Khomeini’s Faculty of Thinking, as an example of failure to depend on the international community, continues to be effective.
Headquartered in the occupied West Bank, the PA continues to wait for foreign intervention amid a record surge in illegal Israeli settlement expansion.
The size of these settlements could soon arrive where the PA abandons Ramallah, seeks evacuation abroad, leaving behind indigenous Palestinian lands.
The Israeli Minister made clear his intentions. They aim to explain Gaza, occupation and the rule of the West Bank in biblical language.
Today, armed resistance is manifesting in the occupied West Bank, especially among the young Palestinians who are reconnecting with national, Arab and Islamic identities.
Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank refuse to surrender. They will rather die in their home than endure another Nakba.
This immobility is clear before I look at the TV screen every day.
Imam Khomeini established the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day. Since then, protests on Mass Street have spread around the world and marked the opportunity.
“Muslims around the world should consider QUDS Day as the day that all Muslims need to participate. It is the day of the oppressed people,” declared Imam Khomeini.
Some Arab rulers, especially the new Syrian government, are that Israel’s occupation is unaware of the border. That ambition continues until the Greater Israel Project is realized.
“Everyone should recognize that the world’s superpower’s purpose to create Israel will not end with the occupation of Palestine. They plan to forbidden by God to extend the fate of Palestine to all Arab countries,” warned Imam Khomeini.
This is the ultimate goal of Israeli occupation and should be deeply interested in Arab rulers.
One man changed the course of the Palestinian struggle.
