TEHRAN – Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian expanded his sincere celebrations to Muslim leaders around the world at Eid al-Ada, one of Islam’s most sacred festivals, marking the pinnacle of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
In a message on Thursday, President Pezeshkian described Eid al-Ada as a sincere expression of worship and obedience to the Almighty. He praised the legacy of the prophet Abraham (Pbuh). He was ready to submit to God’s command and sacrifice his son, but he was given God’s reprieve in place of Ram.
Muslims around the world mark the opportunity by sacrificing livestock and distributing meat among the poor as Saudi Arabia’s Hajj pilgrimage is approaching the end. Pezeschkian expressed his hope that the blessing of this sacred opportunity will promote deeper solidarity and renew pride throughout the Islamic world.
President Pezeshkian also called with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Tajik President Emomali Ramon and Kazakh Jomat Tokayev.
In each conversation, Pezeshkian celebrated the arrival of Eid al-Ada and emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and each of the three countries.
Tehran, Riyadh’s voice is ready, so expand cooperation
In a call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Pezeshkian extended Eid’s speech and thanked him for his efforts to organize Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and promote the participation of pilgrims, including Iranians.
The Iranian president reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to being friendly and fraternal relations with all Muslim countries, particularly on religious principles and good neighbours with Saudi Arabia. He emphasized Iran’s resolve to promote peace, security and development across the Islamic world.
He also gave greetings to King Salman, and once again thanked Saudi Arabia for managing the Hajj season.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his gratitude for Eid’s greeting and wanted the same for the Iranian people. He agreed that Pezeschkian focused on unity and described the recent positive steps in bilateral relations as important. The Crown Prince emphasized that not only Iran and Saudi Arabia, but all Islamic countries have benefited from these developments and urged Riyadh’s preparations to expand cooperation with Tehran.
Iran is ready to expand its ties with Egypt at all levels: Pezeshkian
In a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fatta El-Sisi, both leaders exchanged greetings from Eid Al-Ada, highlighting the importance of unity in the Islamic world.
President Pezeshkian described the Hajj pilgrimage as an extraordinary symbol of Muslim unity and called for the use of spiritual and social possibilities that serve the common interests of Islamic countries. He expressed his hope that Eid will strengthen security, prosperity and health for the people of Iran and Egypt.
He also created a global model of fraternity and constructive engagement in search of experience sharing, mutual cooperation and synergy between Islamic countries. Emphasizing the urgency of facing crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, Pezeshkian urged Islamic countries to translate the values of the Hajj into concrete support for Palestine.
President Pezeshkian repeatedly prepared Iran to expand relations with Egypt at all levels, expressing his hopes for a constructive bilateral meeting with Tehran’s President Elsi.
President Elsii congratulated Iran on Eid and reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening brotherhood with all Islamic countries, including Iran. He described Eid al-Ada as a symbol of unity and expressed his hopes to urge Islamic countries to take effective measures towards peace, solidarity and resistance to oppression. He also reaffirmed Egypt’s interest in deepening bilateral ties with Iran.
Iran and Qatar take a unified stance against Israeli massacre in Gaza
Pezeshkian and Qatar’s Emil Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani emphasize unity among Muslim countries to stop Israeli genocide campaigns in Gaza.
In a telephone conversation with Sheikh Tamim during Eid Al-Ada on Wednesday, Pezeshkian placed a premium on strengthening political and diplomatic cooperation between Muslim countries.
“It is hoped that in light of the empathy and unity of Muslim countries and by relying on political and wise solutions, we can put the necessary pressure on the Zionist regime, halting repeated crimes and injustice against the oppressed people of Gaza and paving the way for a return of peace and stability to the region.
On his part, Sheikh Tamim called for unity among Muslim countries to stop the Zionist regime’s genocide against the Gazas.
Bilateral relations with Iran are “excellently expanding: the Sultan of Oman
On a call with Sultan Haisam bin Tariq of Oman, President Pezeshkian received a warm greeting from Eid on behalf of the Omani government and its people. Sultan Haysam wished the prosperity, blessings and happiness of the nations of Iran and Oman, as well as the broader Islamic Umma.
The Omani leader expressed his satisfaction with the recent consultations with Pezeshkian in Muscat, describing the bilateral connection as “a good expansion” and highlighting the importance of ongoing consultations. He expressed his hope that a high level visit would soon be held in Tehran.
President Pezeschkian thanked the Sultan for his sincere greetings and warm hospitality during his recent trip to Muscat. He expressed his hope that the constructive agreements reached during the visit, particularly in the political, economic and technical fields, would soon be implemented. He also expanded the official invitation for Sultan Haitham to visit Tehran, saying, “I look forward to welcoming you in Tehran.”
