TEHRAN – On Sunday night, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Guard (IRGC) issued a statement announcing the assassination of top intelligence officials in Israeli invasions, pledging to surprise the Zionist regime to “complete destruction.”
Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, chief of the IRGC intelligence agency, was assassinated in the latest Israeli invasion.
Kazemi’s deputy Hassan Mohaghegh, along with another senior IRGC commander, Mohsen Baqeri, was assassinated under the same brutal terrorist law, the statement added.
The three senior IRGC commanders have been targeted in residential areas, television reported.
The IRGC denounced the attack as an act of attack carried out by “the paranoid and brutal forces of the Zionist regime.”
In retaliation, the IRGC’s aerospace forces said they launched a new wave of missile strikes against the Zionist administration’s intelligence news research centre on Saturday night, as part of the third phase of True Promise III.
So far, during Operation True Promise III, the IRGC has launched coordinated missile and drone strikes against important and strategic sites across the occupied Palestinian territory, including locations in Tel Aviv and Haifa, the occupied port city.
These strikes target major facilities such as Air Base, Military and Intelligence Report Centers, industrial parks and fighter jet production sites.
Iran launched Operation Trumis III on Friday night in response to unprovoked, surprising and illegal attacks earlier in the day in several locations across the country, including the capital Tehran, leading to the assassination of several high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians.
