TEHRAN – Palestinian resistance group Hamas has issued a strong condemnation of recent US airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, calling military action a dangerous and illegal escalation.
In a statement released on Sunday, Hamas denounced what he described as “a blatant US attack on the territory and sovereignty of Iran’s Islamic Republic.” The group said the attacks represent “a strong violation of international law and a direct threat to international peace and security.”
Hamas warned that the strike marked a serious escalation of regional tensions, accusing the United States of following Israeli agenda and referring to what is called blind submission to the targets of the occupation regime, Isna reported.
The group also expressed full solidarity with Iran and confirmed confidence in its ability to defend Iran’s sovereignty.
The US strike targeting nuclear power plants in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan has sparked concerns and has elicited international criticism over the wider conflict in West Asia.
