TEHRAN – Six days after the illegal airstrikes that the Israeli regime has not been provoked at Tehran’s Evin prison, defending 71 civilians, prisoners and staff, and the regime’s media machine has resorted to a hopeless campaign of disinformation to whitewash war crimes.
Israeli sources in “Exclusive” published by Fox News sold the fantastic story of Evin’s director Hedayatra Falzadi fleeing the facility minutes before the June 23 attack after a WhatsApp warning to his son.
Judicial officials and chronological evidence ultimately exposes this as a coordinated PSYOP designed to divert this from the massacre of unprotected Iranians.
Fox News claimed that Israeli agents had contacted Farzadi’s son Amir Josey Ni Farzadi via WhatsApp, citing an unknown source in Israel.
The agent promises to save Falzadi’s life if the political prisoner is released, and says to Amir, “Tell your father to open the prison door. An attack will occur within a few minutes.”
The report allegedly Farzadi ran away with his brothers and avoided the strike.
However, the timeline collapses under scrutiny:
– The attack occurred at 10:30am Tehran time on June 23rd.
– Screenshots of suspicious WhatsApp messages show warnings sent at 12:56pm.
– The message referenced the impending attack “within minutes” when the prison was already being scaled down to tile rub.
Judicial investigators dismissed the story as chronologically impossible, noting that Farzadi was conducting routine inspections of prison wards alongside a visiting mandate on strike.
Analysts believe the administration’s lies are intended to distract attention from the intentional massacre of families in humanitarian spaces.
“Symbolistic” strike that taught the innocent man
Israeli War Minister Israel Katz surrounded the bombing as a “symbolic strike” and targeted “Iranian suppression machinery,” but the missile struck the prison’s medical centre, visiting hall and administrative office at 10:30 a.m. at the peak of a family visit on Monday.
Judicial spokesman Asgal Jahangir said the attack led to 71 martists. Among the victims were prison staff and security guards who were working at the time.
Young recruits who served mandatory military service were also tragically caught up in violence. Furthermore, the attack claimed the lives of several prisoners.
The devastation spread beyond prison walls and affected civilians as well. Family members who visited their incarcerated loved ones and neighbors who lived near the prison were among those who lost their lives.
“The Zionists committed wholesale crimes. Even their neighbors near the visiting hall were martyrs. This reveals who really threaten the civilians in our area.”
Hours after the bombing, Iran moved surviving prisoners to secure facilities.
Witnesses described the scene from the massacre. The sisters of the inmates who attended for the visit were spoken in an interview with Iranian newspaper Etemad. “Three missiles collided with the entrance to the prison, and families and plaintiffs seeking conflict resolution were covered in blood.
Among the martyrs was Mehrangiz Imanpour, two artists and mothers of two who lived near the prison. Her ex-husband, author Reza Kandan Mahabadi, lamented, “Meharangis was the beauty of my children’s lives.”
Another life lost in the tragedy was the life of Hajar “Hasti” Mohammadi, who went to prison on a charitable mission to coordinate the release of several debt prisoners.
During the airstrike, fragments from the bombing collapsed the entrance to the prison’s visiting hall, claiming her life in the midst of her selfless service.
Why Evin?
The strike formed part of the Israeli regime’s 12-day war with Iran.
Israel framed the bombing of Evin as a “symbolic” effort of “free political prisoners,” but its timing and target tell a darker story.
– Motivation for cover-up: Iranian security experts suggest that Israel may have tried to eliminate captured operatives or spies who could potentially expose the Mossad network to Iran.
– Foreign citizens at risk: The prison had foreign prisoners, such as French citizens Cecil Kohler and Jacques Paris, but was arrested in 2022 on suspicion of espionage. Despite France’s military and diplomatic support of the regime through the conflict and conspiring Israeli war crimes, their proximity to the blast sites drew condemnation from Paris.
– Psychological Wars: Destruction of Evin – A site synonymous with state sovereignty and order – Israeli intent to humiliate Iran’s governance institutions and cause confusion in Tehran.
Some Western outlets amplified the story of Fox News, but Iran promoted an international media tour of Evin’s ruins on Sunday.
Journalists from Reuters, the Associated Press, Al Jazeera and Russian today documented structural damage and bloody visiting halls.
