Tehran – Iran has completely denied claims by US President Donald Trump that nuclear negotiations have returned to the table.
Esmaeli Bakaei, a spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, claimed that Iran shot Trump’s lies about what is believed to be planned in Oslo, and that he has absolutely no demand for such a meeting from the United States. “They want to talk,” Trump insisted while talking to reporters Monday night.
Iran and the United States are scheduled to meet indirect nuclear talks for the sixth round in June, when Washington-backed Israel launched a war with the country, essentially wasting opportunities for diplomatic resolution. The 12-day war caused great damage to at least 1,060 Iranian martialism and Iranian nuclear sites.
In a recent interview, Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian said the US has promised that there will be no war while the two countries are engaged in negotiations. He said Iran is always open to dialogue, but now he finds it very difficult to trust Washington again.
