Tehran – The family of Lt. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, assassinated commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, issued a sincere message to Brigadier General Majid Mousavi, newly appointed military commander, who expressed full support and confidence in his leadership.
In their statement, General Hajizadeh’s wife, children and relatives extended their congratulations to General Musabi, wishing him success and asserted that the power of IRGC aerospace under his command, especially the missile and drone capabilities, in line with the expectations of leaders of the Islamic Revolution, will achieve even greater strength and preparation.
“Under your leadership, God will be pleased to witness further advances in the comprehensive capabilities and growing preparations of the IRGC Aerospace Force,” the message read.
The family emphasized that the trust placed in Musavi in general by the leaders of the Islamic Revolution led to Ali Khamenei, who brought comfort in grief, especially as General Musavi was a longtime companion of both early Martyrhazydadh of the IRGC’s Missuiru development programme.
“From the formation of the Iranian missile tree to his Martian moment, the leader’s decision to entrust this important position to those who locked this important position on shoulder to shoulder with the Martian is a source of comfort for us,” they wrote.
Emphasizing General Musabi’s decades of service and fundamental role in Iran’s missile programme, the family expressed strong faith in their ability to continue the strategic path set out by his predecessors.
The family closed the message by expressing gratitude for the leader’s wise choices and presented General Musabi with a personal ring of martians, a symbolic gesture of loyalty and continuity.
Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, who played a pivotal role in converting Iran’s missile and aerospace capabilities into terrifying regional forces, marched in a Zionist airstrike in Tehran early on June 13, 2025.
For many years, General Hajizadeh was the center of developing Iranian indigenous missile programs and strengthening its strategic deterrence. His visionary leadership helped shape the modern, independent aerospace doctrine that shifted regional balance in favor of the Islamic Republic.
General Hajizadeh, appointed commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force by Ayatollah Khamenei in 2010, raised the unit to a strategic pillar of Iranian defence architecture, particularly through precise strike technology and innovation in drone warfare.
Among his most important military achievements was leading Iran’s retaliatory missile operations against the Israeli regime in 2024 – including True Promise I and Operation True Promise II in response to targeted killings of resistance. These businesses clashed with sensitive Israeli forces and the Intelligence News Centre, and were widely welcomed by Iranian media as powerful demonstrations of Iran’s deterrent capabilities.
General Hajizadeh was also responsible for overseeing previous operations, such as the 2017 Leilat Al-Khador missile strike against Syrian Dash position, following the ISIS attacks on Iranian parliament and the shrines of Imam Khomeini.
Recognizing his leadership and strategic insight, Ayatollah Khamenei awarded General Hajizadeh, one of Iran’s finest military honors.
As his martialism is now marking a new chapter in the history of the Aerospace Forces, his family’s message to General Musavi affirms the resilience of the facility and its enduring commitment to defending the Iranian state and the broader Islamic world.
