President Tehran – Masoud Pezeshkian praised the unprecedented unity presented by the Iranians following the recent 12-day war launched by Israel. Speaking at a ceremony held at Iran’s Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare on Tuesday, Pezeshkian emphasized that the invasion has cultivated a strong sense of national solidarity, even among those who felt that the invasion had previously been marginalized from the government.
“After the Zionist regime had taught us the commander of our country’s military, we imagined that Islamic facilities would face challenges,” Pezeschkian said. “However, the wisdom of the leaders of the Islamic Revolution and the immediate appointment of successors… thwarted the enemy’s plot.”
The president emphasized that the strength of Iran’s response is not only in the military’s capabilities, but also in the resilience of the Iranian people. “The Iranian people did a bigger and more important job,” he argued. “The enemy’s plan was… that people would go wrong and take them to the streets… but people stood up to the enemy and neutralized the plot.”
Pezeschkian further emphasized that even those who felt unfairly treated and unfairly treated, including Iranians living in prisons and abroad, were united to protect the country. He argued that this demonstration of national unity was invaluable. “What we lost over the last 12 days was truly invaluable and precious, but the consensus and empathy we gained are far more valuable,” declared Pezeschkian. He reiterated the importance of inclusiveness in Iranian society, saying, “Iran belongs to all of us, regardless of race, gender, language, ethnicity or religion.”
The Iran-Israel war began on June 13th as the Zionist regime launched illegal and provocative attacks on Iran’s home building and nuclear and military sites. The US mercilessly slammed Iran’s occupied territory for 10 days and intervened directly after dropping bombs at nuclear facilities already targeted by Israel. The battle halted on June 24, the day after Iran used missiles to attack West Asia’s most important American base. A ceasefire was proposed to Iran by the US through Qatar.
Iran’s military and political authorities say they don’t think Israel is allowed to hold a ceasefire, and they assure the nation that it is ready to deal a more painful blow if the regime attacks Iran again.
Elsewhere in Tuesday’s remarks, Pezeshkian called for continued efforts to maintain strong unity among Iranians, emphasizing that he “cannot escape efforts in the construction and development of Iran.”
