TEHRAN – Iran’s Red Crescent Association (IRCS) has announced it is ready to send humanitarian assistance to support individuals affected by the floods in Pakistan.
The heavy monsoon rain caused flash floods, landslides, house collapse and own deaths from June 26, 2025 until today. The worst states are Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, AJK, Sindh and Balochistan.
“As the sadness is growing, we learned about the recent outbreak of floods in Pakistan, particularly Punjab. Punjab, in particular, sadly killed and injured many civilians. The Iranian Red Crescent Association (IRCS) expresses sincere pitiful dol to you and the families of the victims,” Crescent Association (PRCS).
“We will be standing with you during these difficult times. We are ready to send medical and relief teams to support humanitarian businesses,” Kolivand added.
Since the afternoon of July 16th, 2025, without suspending parts of Punjab, the recent rain spell has caused flooding, reported by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society.
Over the past 24 hours, 63 casualties and 290 injuries have been reported across Punjab. Emergencies have been declared in several districts.
Between June 26 and July 16, the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) reported 124 deaths and 264 injured national people.
District Chakwar recorded 400 mm of rain overnight due to cloudburst, causing flash floods in the city. Reported on July 17 by the European Commission’s Humanitarian and Civil Protection Agency (ECO) on July 17, Rawalpi district received 200 mm of rain, leading to gun flooding in Gawalmandi, Katarian and other areas.
