TEHRAN – Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations has submitted a detailed and updated report to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council, outlining the war crimes committed by the Israeli regime during a 12-day military attack on the Islamic Republic.
The report, which focuses specifically on the murder of women and children, was accompanied by a formal request for documents to be registered and distributed as official UN Security Council papers.
The letter highlights the devastating human sacrifice and widespread destruction caused by the Israeli attacks, and brings attention to the legal and international responsibility of the people behind the attacks.
The report says between June 13th and June 24th, 2025, Israeli airstrikes, drone attacks and missile barrages claimed the lives of 1,100 innocent civilians, including 132 women and 45 children. More than 5,750 people were injured during the persistent assault.
The attacks, supported by massive military, intelligence reporting and political support from the US and certain other Western governments, have intentionally targeted civil infrastructure, residential areas, hospitals, media offices, internationally supervised nuclear facilities, and the entire family.
Iran’s mission has condemned the attack as a serious violation of the UN Charter, international law, the Geneva Convention and the international human rights framework. The letter urges the Security Council to end the “structural immunity” of the Israeli regime, take critical steps to stop crime and hold perpetrators accountable.
The submitted report includes names and details of many martyrs, especially women and children, who lost their lives in private places such as homes, schools and workplaces. Among them is the complete eradication of families, including the Seddi Kisaber, Zekarian, Sadatiaramaki and Nyazmand families.
The report documents attacks in Israel, Hakim Children’s Hospital, several kindergartens, parks, Evin prisons and ambulances.
The letter reiterates Iran’s position that these actions constitute a clear violation of international law, calling on the Security Council to take concrete steps to stop the attack and prosecute those responsible.
In addition to the Security Council, the report was submitted to the UN Secretary-General’s Children and Special Representatives in Armed Conflicts, as well as UNICEF.
The same pattern of immunity seen in the Israeli regime’s war of Gaza – was evident during a 12-day military attack on Iran, with full support from the United States.
Just as Israel slaughtered a binding interim ruling by the International Court of Justice and rejected a binding interim ruling that allowed humanitarian aid, the Zionist regime continued illegal attacks on Iranian civilians, infrastructure, and even under IAEA protections.
Among many documented violations, Israeli missiles targeted Iranian Broadcasting (IRIB) headquarters in Tehran on June 16 in a clear attempt to silence media coverage and disrupt the flow of information. The law brought about martial teaching of three workers in the IRIB. The United Nations Education, Science and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) also strongly condemned the strike.
Both wars unfolded under Western-backed immunity shields, as the United States supplies weapons, intelligence, and diplomatic protections, including repeated vetoes at the UN Security Council. This neglect of coordinated international law has allowed the act of war crimes and collective punishment to continue unconfirmed from Gaza to Tehran, as it does not have the effect of global justice mechanisms.
More than a week after the start of Israel’s strike, the United States took part in the war with Tehran by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites with a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic sites across the occupying regions and Aldeid Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran was able to stop the terrorist attacks through successful retaliation operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
