TEHRAN – Iranian forces repelled the US destroyer DDG Fitzgerald from approaching Iran’s watched waters in the Sea of Oman early Wednesday.
At 10am, the Third Navy District of Prophet Muhammad deployed a helicopter and warned the ship as it approached a sensitive boundary.
An intrusive US warship threatened to target Iranian helicopters and demanded that they leave. The Iranian pilot continued, repeating warnings to clear Iranian maritime zones.
Faced with Iran’s resolve and air defense support, the US warships complied and changed courses southward from the Iranian sovereign sea.
This underscores Tehran’s resolve to support the strategic red line of US aggression. This has been demonstrated during Iran’s calibrated self-defense acts targeting an air force base in Al-udeid in June.
“The Islamic Republic has brought a fierce slap in the face of America,” said Ayatollah, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, declaring Ali Khamenei, warning that Iran “can repeat” access to major US installations in the region.
