Ioai is the international science Olympics for artificial intelligence for high school students. With a focus on AI, it aims to inspire young people worldwide in science. This competition provides a platform for top AI students selected through the national conference to compete, exchange ideas and build connections, and promote dialogue on AI opportunities and ethical challenges between students and the community.
This year’s IOAI featured two major modules. Team Challenge and individual contests are designed to comprehensively evaluate students’ AI innovation capabilities.
The team’s challenges were based on the theme of “Future Factory” and integrated the simulation with actual deployment.
Individual contests include pre-event online warm-ups and on-site competitions. Students solved six problems (6 hours a day) covering machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision.
Thanks to the efforts of the Iranian delegation, the country is placed ahead of its impressive opponents from the UK, South Korea, France and Malaysia, ranking 16th from 2024.
